In partnership with the team at Stoneman, Combo NYC, and director Hank Willis Thomas, this project was a classic COVID workaround.

Black Thought was meant to perform “Nature of the Beast/Quiet Trip’ with Portugal The Man and The Last Artful, Dodgr live on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, but due to COVID restrictions, their performance needed to be virtual. This concept was developed and filmed over Zoom very quickly. We were given lots of creative freedom to synthesize all of the raw assets into a seamless and engaging animated flow that literally brought Hank’s original art to life.
